The firm's inbox, sorted before you walk out of the hearing
AI email assistant
Email is where formal requests reach a firm: website enquiries, clients replying with questions, notices that carry a date. Nolloi's email assistant handles your incoming mail, sorts it by type, answers first enquiries with your approved intake questions and documents list, and puts anything with a deadline in front of a lawyer at once. It is built in a custom deployment, scoped with your firm, alongside the WhatsApp assistant of the standard plans.
Built and connected for you in a custom deployment, scoped with you.
A typical situation
A partner spends Tuesday in court. By five o'clock the general inbox holds dozens of new emails: three first enquiries from the website form, a client asking to move a meeting, a bank requesting a signed form, two newsletters, and one message from a client who has just been served with a summons for a hearing in nine days. With the assistant, each enquiry has received an acknowledgment and its intake questions, the meeting request waits for the person who keeps the diary, the newsletters are filed away, and the summons reached the partner as urgent as soon as it arrived.
Example
- CustomerSubject: Dismissal. Hello, I was dismissed yesterday without notice after eleven years. Can I contest it, and how long do I have?
- AI assistantHello, and thank you for writing to the firm. I am its AI assistant, so I cannot assess your case, but I can arrange a first consultation with an employment lawyer. Your question about time limits has been passed to a lawyer tonight so it is seen first thing tomorrow. Could you tell me the date on the dismissal letter and the name of your former employer?
- CustomerThe letter is dated Monday. It's a freight company; the name is on the letter, I can bring it.
- AI assistantThank you. The firm will need the employer's exact name to check for any conflict of interest before confirming, so please reply with it when you can. I can offer Thursday at 9:30 or Friday at 14:00. Please bring the letter, your employment contract and your last three payslips.
- CustomerThursday at 9:30, please. The letter is at my sister's, I will send you the name tomorrow.
- AI assistantThursday at 9:30 is held for you. A member of staff will confirm it by email once the conflict check is done. Thank you, and please send the employer's name as soon as you have the letter at hand.

How it works
Mail arrives at the firm's address
The assistant works on the addresses you choose, such as the general or intake mailbox. Lawyers' own mailboxes stay outside its reach unless you decide otherwise.
Each message is sorted
New enquiry, existing client, scheduling, administration, urgent deadline, or not for the firm. The categories and the rule attached to each are yours.
It replies where you allowed it
A first enquiry gets a courteous acknowledgment, the intake questions for its matter type and the documents list. It can propose consultation times from your calendar if you wish.
It hands over everything else
Anything with a date, anything from a court or another lawyer, anything asking for an opinion goes to the person you named, with a short summary in the team app.
What you decide
What you decide
- Which addresses the assistant handles, and which it never touches.
- The categories of mail and the rule for each: reply, file, or hand to a named person.
- The intake questions and documents list for each matter type, and the signature on replies.
- What counts as urgent, such as hearing dates, summonses, limitation periods or signings, and who receives it.
What it does not do
- It is built in a custom deployment, scoped with your firm; it is not part of the standard plans, which cover WhatsApp.
- It gives no legal advice, assesses no case and makes no comment on documents attached to a message.
- It does not run the conflict check or accept instructions on the firm's behalf.
- It does not reply to courts, authorities or opposing counsel: those messages go straight to a person.
Questions
Will a client know that an AI replied?
Yes. Replies are signed as the firm's AI assistant, and if a client asks, it confirms it plainly. It never writes as if it were a lawyer, and it tells the client when a person will take over.
Does it reply to every email automatically?
Only to the categories you allow. Many firms let it acknowledge first enquiries and handle scheduling, and have everything else routed to staff with a summary but no reply.
Can it run alongside our WhatsApp assistant?
Yes. The same matter types, documents lists and handoff rules apply on both channels, and both file into the same team app. WhatsApp is in the standard plans; the email side is added in a custom deployment.
